Once again the Allenstown Economic Development Committee is hosting a Christmas Light Contest and Santa Parade. Residents are invited to send in photos of their decorations in the hope of winning a trophy and $50 gift card. Photos will be posted on the town web site. Residents can also decorate their homes just for the fun of it.
On December 14, Santa and Mrs. Claus will travel around town in the Tower 2 Ladder Truck with a police escort, lights flashing and sirens blaring. The parade will end at Town Hall where the Awards Ceremony will take place.
Contest Details
This is open to all Allenstown residents.
Decorate your home with lights on your home and shrubs, snowmen, reindeer, candy canes, Christmas characters, Nativity scenes, and anything you’d like.
Take up to three good photos of your decorations, preferably at night to show off the lighting. Use Landscape format.
Register by sending you name and address and your photos to economic-development@comcast.net
Registered homes will be added to the contest web page as they are received.

Nov. 26 to Dec. 9 – Register your home decorations
Dec. 10 – EDC members agree on winners in each category
Dec. 14 (Sunday) – Santa Parade around town from Noon to 2 p.m. & Awards Ceremony at 2:00 to 2:30 p.m. at Town Hall
Dec. 25 – Christmas Day
